Boston Tea Party is one hell of an event, it is the only successful crossover event still running today. Showcasing the best in West Coast Swing and Lindy Hop. This is the spotlight from the Lindy Hop Invitational Strictly with Mikey Pedroza dancing with Karen Turman, enjoy!

Since the event is a crossover event between Lindy Hop and West Coast Swing, they decide to take the party further and take the top 5 winner from both dances and pair them together. A West Coast lead with a Lindy Hop follow. A Lindy Hop lead with a West Coast follow. Check out my venture to the “DarkSide” of swing by dancing with the amazing Torri Smith!

The Boston Tea Party is a dance convention in which dancers from around the world come together for four days and nights to celebrate and share their passion for a dance called Swing. The Boston Tea Party began in 1998 as an annual party that attracted dancers primarily from the East Coast. It continued to grow in popularity to become one of the premier dance events in the country. The event attracts more than 1400 dancers from across the United States and around the world. The Boston Tea Party is a four day celebration that includes 80 swing dance workshops taught by over 50 of the world’s top instructors in all levels of swing dance, including more than 20 workshops geared for the absolute beginner. The Boston Tea Party plays host to competitions, performances and exhibitions of three major forms of swing dance: West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop and Balboa. Dancers also enjoy hours and hours of social dancing to music provided by the country’s best swing DJ’s. With three separate ballrooms and over ten thousand square feet of dance floor, dancing takes place throughout the day and into the wee hours of the morning.

If you love swing dancing, this is an event you won’t want to miss!!!
