Houston’s LindyFest 2012

Tejas is a big state so it deserves a big Lindy Hop event to match! Houston’s Lindy Fest is that giant event, now in it’s 16th year, that has always been at the fore front of continuing the tradition of joy and instruction of Lindy Hop. This years was no exception great workshops, great music, and even better dancing! The event went under a big change this year by moving away from the usually venue for classes, Jewish Community Center, and moved into the Intercontinental Hotel in Houston. This was a huge change for the event and it couldn’t have been in a better place, this hotel was amazing!

I was very honored this year to be able to teach and perform at the event this year. The classes were amazing and I got a chance to perform a modified version of a chair routine, Crazy As A Loon Can Be click here to see it, with my buddy Nick Williams. It has nothing to do with Lindy Hop but this routine definitely challenged us as dancers.
